Why Exercise Matters in Diabetes Management
Physical activity is one of the most powerful tools you have to manage your diabetes and improve your overall health. Regular exercise helps your body use insulin more effectively, lowering blood glucose levels and potentially reducing medication needs. It also helps manage weight, blood pressure and cholesterol. They're all important in preventing diabetes-related complications.
Beyond the numbers, exercise boosts energy, improves mood and helps you sleep better. Many people report feeling more in control of their condition once they establish a regular movement routine!
The evidence is clear: moderate-intensity aerobic exercise combined with strength training is the gold standard for diabetes management.
With Beat It, you'll learn how to move safely and effectively with our accredited Exercise Physiologists. Additionally, you'll have a deeper understanding how activity affects your blood glucose, and build confidence to stay active long after the program finishes.
