Vestibular conditions can affect people of all ages and can be highly debilitating. Being able to diagnosis the issue and then map out the treatment plan with clear outcomes and then be carry out the treatment/rehabilitation is what our clincians do. The results that can be achieved from a properly directed treatment plan can be significant, even for individuals that have lived with a Vestibular condition for a very long time.
Our Vestibular rehabilitation team consists of Physiotherapists and Exercise Physiologists that work closely with GPs, ENT's and audiologists to help individuals experiencing symptoms of a Vestibular disorder. Vestibular Physiotherapy is life changing for individuals that suffer from:
- Benign Paraoxysmal Positional Vertigo (BPPV)
- Vestibular Neuritis
- Meniere's Disease
- Cervicogenic dizziness (neck related dizziness)
- Presbystasis (aged related balance loss)
- Superior Semicircular Canal Dehiscence (SSCD)
- Imbalance following ear surgery or head injury.
The benefit of the Physiotherapy and Exercise Physiology collaboration on site is that diagnosis, treatment planning and rehabilitation can all be done in one place with a team that works together closely that know your case and that knows you. The team case conference weekly and hold regular professional development sessions so that each member of the team is up to date with the latest in management techniques and strategies.
Vestibular Physiotherapy is a highly specialised area and we are proud to bring it to our local community.
